What to expect from your treatment . . .

A typical treatment session involves an initial assessment or reassessment to determine the best course of action. Should there be any contraindication to treatment or if treatment is not appropriate, it will not be performed, and an alternative course of action will be taken.

As a practitioner, my style favours a hands-on approach, using direct, typically stronger techniques and pressures. However, techniques are carefully selected to suit each individual, ensuring the most appropriate and effective treatment. It is not unusual to experience some tenderness and/or redness after treatment; however, client comfort and well-being are at the forefront of my services, and no techniques are performed without your consent.

My career as a professional sports therapist stems from a background in rugby and combat sports, which developed into a passion for gym-based fitness. This led to extensive education and experience in strength and conditioning, injury rehabilitation, and training modalities. My personal experience helps me understand the needs of athletes and fitness enthusiasts, allowing me to deliver tailored treatments using various manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions.

Techniques include, but are not limited to:

  • Sports massage / soft tissue

  • Fascial release

  • Joint articulations

  • HVTs (manipulations)

  • Dry needling

  • Cupping

  • Soft tissue release

  • Muscle energy techniques

  • Reciprocal inhibition
